On-Site Computer Support for Your Small Business
Without Having to Hire an IT Guy
RTCubed Consulting provides on-site Information Technology support for your home office or small business.
I know that you have many choices, and I'm going to list some reasons why you would do business with
RTCubed in comparison and contrast to other companies or people. Hopefully this page will at least assist you in
thinking through the support options that are available to you.
Family and Friends
When something goes wrong with your computer, or you just want to upgrade or install software, you
probably think about calling family or friends that you have. Usually, this helps solve many small
problems, and saves time and money. This
is the best approach for many people. The advantages
are a cost savings on services, but the disadvantages are that they typically are not trained or experienced
as someone who works in the IT industry every day.
Nerd and Geek Services
You know who these companies are; you probably see their commercials on TV. They promise fast response
and solutions to your problems. In many cases, especially those in which you need results quickly, this
kind of company is the optimal one to choose. The advantages of this approach is usually a same-day
resolution to the problem, and technicians that at least have a minimal amount of IT training. Disadvantages
of hiring these companies is that their pricing and business models may lend themselves to more of a "standardized"
solution, and they may not be willing to take on involved and complex projects.
RTCubed Consulting, LLC
You knew I needed to put in a plug for my services, right? In comparison to the support offered by the methods
above, here is our unique story. First of all, I cannot be on-site within minutes or even hours of a phone call
or e-mail. You will need to schedule a time for me to come and help out. Some small problems can be worked out
over the phone, or remotely if you grant me access through your firewall (if you have one). Second, the advantage
I bring to the table is a multi-disciplined approach. In other words, I have years of experience not only with
basic things like setting up desktops, laptops, workstations, and servers, but I also have experience writing
software, networking wired and wireless systems, troubleshooting electronic circuitry, and working with all kinds of people. Whenever I think of a
"nerd" or "geek", to me, it brings up images of someone who looks funny and lacks social graces. In contrast,
I strive to be very presentable at all my client functions, and bring the background of a professional with
experience to my clients.
I hope this helps with your selection of a consultant to solve your computer problems, or undertake your
next big computing project. If I can be of any help to you, please call.
